Some of Gaudí's work

A late update:

On the occasion of Girid and Andrew being here for the U2 gig weekend, it was time for appreciating the most outstanding architectural masterpieces Antoni Gaudí (1852 - 1926) left across the city of Barcelona - the Sagrada Familia (planned and partly constructed by and with guidance of Gaudí and not yet finished - the works are still under way, and the scheduled date being for finalization is 2030!) ...

Another lovely place Gaudí is responsible for is Parque Güell, originally conceived as a residential living zone, but since the people of Barcelona did not appreciate the modern style of the buildings then, the area was transformed to a public parc which it has been ever since, plus one of the city's main tourist attractions:
